I have been born in raised in the beautiful Paarl, later moving closer to Cape Town. While working for Telkom in 1980 I was eventually transferred to Gauteng where I spent more than 30 years of my life.
Through my interest in astronomy and science I was always aware that there is a great and mighty God that created the wonderful world around me that I could study. However, it was only in God’s providence, through a bad motor car accident and an outreach team from Bethany Baptist church, that the Creator of the universe made me aware of the fact that knowing about Him is not enough. I came to know and love Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
I met my best friend and spiritual companion, now my wife – Sharon and we both started serving at Bethany and grew spiritually through study and through the mentorship and help of many godly saints that God so graciously brought alongside us.
In 2015 I was retrenched, and the Lord provided an opportunity for me to start working for a company in Cape Town. Here we committed ourselves to GBC where, again, by God’s grace – we found a loving family receiving us with open arms. We have put down deep roots and are serving the Lord with joy as we grow together in Him.
