Allan Hall

I was born and raised in Queensburgh, near Durban, where I continued to live after leaving school and starting my working career in Telkom. Attending a local large-denomination church throughout my childhood years, I knew intellectually of the God of the Bible from a young age but did not have any relational knowledge of my Creator. I was later challenged by the Gospel while attending a youth group in the area and received the free gift of salvation acknowledging Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
Judy and I met at a local evangelical church, and after being the last two “unattached” singles of our youth group, were married in 1986. We grew in knowledge of our Lord and were committed to service in Christ Church Queensburgh. I joined a technical engineering company, and my career in Naval System Engineering was launched. Following the birth of our 2 children, our family relocated to Fish Hoek in the early 2000’s, to enable me to work on a major naval contract in Simons Town. After completing the contract, we reluctantly moved to Gauteng for employment purposes, and joined Bethany Baptist Church in Lyttleton. The Lord provided us with a loving and supportive Christian family, and we served in various ministries as our children grew and also committed their lives to the Lord.
Following university training and starting their own careers, both of our children independently moved to Cape Town. Judy and I decided on an early retirement and relocated to Cape Town in December 2021. We have joined the family of Goodwood Baptist Church, and rejoice in serving our Lord amongst fellow believers and disciples of our Saviour Jesus, as we continue to grow in the knowledge of His grace and love.
